August is shaping up as a month packed with opportunities to support TGK and the Atlanta restaurant community.
Most prominently, our first ever Dining with Gratitude event takes place August 20-23, with 50+ local restaurants all contributing 10% of sales during the event to TGK. Show your support for the restaurant community by dining out with the participating restaurants listed (and mapped!) at www.diningwithgratitude.com. We’re thrilled to have Springer Mountain Farms as a presenting sponsor (look out for signature Springer Mountain Farms chicken dishes at select restaurants), plus Atlanta Magazine and Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles as media sponsors. Please get out there and show your gratitude! And let them know you’re there for TGK!
Our friends at Richland Rum, who make one of the most remarkable estate-grown spirits in the US right here in Georgia, are generously donating $2.50 from every Richland Rum drink sold at select bars and restaurants during the month of August. Bars include 8Arm, Alma Cocina, Ecco, Gypsy Kitchen, La Tavola, Le Bilboquet, Lure, Smokebelly, South City Kitchen (Midtown and Buckhead), and The Southern Gentleman Keep your eyes out for this award-winning, Georgia-grown, single estate rum. Thanks also to Eagle Rock Distributing for their support.
Another month-long supporter is PURE Taqueria, who went above and beyond the Dining with Gratitude dates to support TGK with every purchase of Dos Equis and a special “Giving Cocktail” margarita during August at five PURE locations (Alpharetta, Brookhaven, Inman Park, Roswell, and Woodstock).
Coming up September 10, the Braves are hosting a Restaurant Industry Appreciation game against the Marlins, with special ticket packages that include a donation to TGK and other goodies, from a Braves branded chefs hat to a VIP brunch before the afternoon game. Perfect for family or friends or even co-workers, get details and buy your tickets now!
Another advance notice since tickets are on sale now, on October 15th, from 4-8 PM, a very special Sunday Supper at Serenbe benefitting TGK will feature the chefs of the Ford Fry family of restaurants. We’ll gather in the Pavilion at Serenbe… think perfect autumn afternoon, twinkly lights, live music, and tastes from Ford Fry’s restaurants, including 246, JCT Kitchen, the Optimist, St. Cecilia, Marcel and King & Duke. We’ll break out the red solo cups for the brew ha ha + wine and booze from the Team Hidi Beverage Committee. If weather permits, we’ll light the bonfire and have s’mores. $300 per person, or $1000 for a four pack, with transport to and from Serenbe via bus included. Get your tickets now!
