James Martin
Senior Graphic Designer
James comes to Giving Kitchen with over 15 years' experience in identity and brand design. He has a BFA in Graphic Design from Bowling Green State University. Along with his work in the tech and restaurant space, he also enjoys making documentaries. He understands the connectivity of design and film and how they can both be tools used to spread meaning through visual language.
When James arrived in Atlanta in 2010, the independently owned restaurants, coffee shops, and cocktail bars lured him in. Over the years, he has worked with some of those very places on their design and branding needs and has continued to support the city’s local establishments.
When not designing, he can be found in his backyard workshop lovingly named Horchata, scheming ways in which to convert old things into new, exploring nature while looking for birds, and making things by hand. He lives in Reynoldstown with his dog Cilantro and three cats Dorito, Frenzy, and Junebird.
