Director of Finance
Lydia is cofounder of Lyra Works, a team that delivers technical expertise with a friendly approach to the accounting and payroll needs of local small businesses. Along the way, Lyra Works partnered with Giving Kitchen in 2019, creating simple solutions to overcome the administrative hurdles they faced as their team and their outreach grew. What also grew from this partnership was a foundation of trust and shared passion for the work.
Lydia has become invested in Giving Kitchen’s success and is beyond thrilled for the opportunity to serve a bigger role as an official part of the team. What most attracts her to this group is their infectious energy around the work they do….And the foodie-centric atmosphere doesn’t hurt! Lydia moved to Atlanta in 2014 from Jacksonville, FL where she was raised. She earned an MBA from the University of Florida and began her career over 15 years ago in corporate financial planning and analysis.
She currently lives in the Kirkwood neighborhood – a hop, skip, and jump away from GK headquarters. Her idea of a good time is a challenging project, a long walk, a good (audio)book, and an amazing cocktail + delicious meal with friends. She believes in hard work and serial commas. 😊
