Live Like a Local: An Unforgettable NYC Journey supporting Giving Kitchen.

In the heart of spring 2024, the bustling metropolis of New York City played host to an extraordinary Team Hidi auction lot experience known as "Live Like a Local."

Day 1: Arrival and an Evening Curated by Jamie Hyder

The adventure commenced on April 8th as guests checked into The Standard, High Line, setting the stage for what would be an exquisite exploration of New York City's finest. The evening began at Barbuto, a gem in the NYC dining scene, where guests were treated to a Chef's Table dinner complete with cellar digestifs. The allure of the Barbuto Cellar Space for the after-party added a touch of exclusivity to the night, wrapping up the first day on a high note.

Day 2: A Cultural Odyssey from the James Beard House to Le Bernardin

Day two promised a cultural deep dive, starting with a tour of the iconic James Beard House. The group then embarked on a scenic walk to Pier 57, soaking in the vibrant Market and rooftop park, punctuated by delectable salads courtesy of JBF. The evening's zenith was dinner at the world-renowned Le Bernardin, where culinary mastery met its match in the form of a chef’s choice menu, tailored to perfection, taking into consideration each supporter’s unique culinary diet and tastes.

Day 3: Brooklyn's Charms and Chinatown's Mysteries

The journey continued on April 10th with Caroline Hatchett leading the way to Brooklyn. The historic Peter Luger’s Steakhouse served as the backdrop for lunch, offering an authentic slice of Brooklyn’s storied culinary landscape. The evening was dedicated to exploring the heart of Chinatown with Roger Lam, promising a historic food tour that melded cultural insights with gastronomic wonders. The night capped off with cocktails at Overstory, a cocktail bar famed for its panoramic views and located on the 64th floor of 70 Pine Street.
