Giving Kitchen's work in September:

Provided $357,798 in rent and utility assistance across 135 financial assistance awards.

This assistance provided 233 months (19.4 years) of rent and utility assistance to clients from 18 different states.
-
Provided assistance to households containing 146 children and 52 additional household members.
-
Based on self-reported data, GK estimates that 92 clients, 107 of their children, and 38 of their additional household members avoided experiencing eviction and homelessness.

Stability Network served clients across 26 different states.

472 Stability Network cases closed in September — This is the second-highest (non-March 2020) number of cases closed in a month.

Stability Network clients that received one-on-one case management received a total of 1,985 resources curated for them by their case manager. This is an average of 9.3 resources per case.
So far in 2023:

We have served over 3,629 food service workers in crisis, provided over $2,729,341 in rent, utility and living assistance and over 1,750 months of rent.

We have provided over $1,022,964 in rent, utility and living assistance to households with children.
Since Giving Kitchen began:

We have served over 15,150 food service workers in crisis and provided $10,358,286 in direct financial assistance.

We have prevented over 17 million in excess costs to our community.

Dine at any participating restaurant below between October 1-31, 2023, and help raise crucial funds for food service workers in crisis. Golf for Giving Kitchen
Giving Kitchen golf tournaments are underway!
Thank you to all who joined us in Nashville to golf for good on September 25! Together we raised nearly $40,000 to help food service workers in crisis! Check out highlights on our website here.

Welcome to the GK Board:
Cannon Whitby
We are excited to welcome Cannon Whitby to our Board of Directors. Cannon currently serves as the Region President of Tennessee at Sysco.
Cannon has devoted his entire career to the food service industry. He is known for his role as a transformational leader who inspires and empowers others, driving them to achieve exceptional results and fostering a forward-thinking growth mindset.
Over the years, Cannon has held senior leadership positions at Sysco, Reinhart, and Tyson, including roles such as Region President, President, Region Vice President of Sales and Business Development, and well as Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Additionally, he is an active member of Sysco’s PAC Government Relations Committee.
