Kaitlynn Perez-Mockett was born and raised in Georgia. Her background predominantly lies in art education after graduating from the University of Georgia. While serving students and creating safe spaces were fulfilling, she felt there was something else so much bigger waiting for her.

In an attempt to find what came next, she picked up a serving job before moving to assistant general manager of City Pharmacy in Covington, GA. There she met her wife, Christian Perez. Kaitlynn and Christian volunteered for several events for GK and felt that Giving Kitchen provided the food service industry with the support, acknowledgment, and empowerment it deserved. Kaitlynn learned firsthand the inexplicable difference of food service and knew it was a magical community of its own, focused on delivering not only fantastic food and beverages, but also experiences, comradery, and the importance of serving others. Every human had a voice in this community, and Kaitlynn believed in the mission of continuing to grow and support the needs of those voices through Giving Kitchen’s Stability Network program.

In her spare time, Kaitlynn enjoys slinging drinks, hosting game nights with friends, throwing toy opossums for her pups, binge-watching Bob’s Burgers and Great British Baking Show, playing with yarn, and daydreaming about all the delicious food she and Christian will devour when eating their way through Central and South America.
